Pemuda Ikrarkan Perdamaian Dunia

Pemuda dunia menyerukan deklarasi perdamaian di monumen gong perdamaian dunia, di Ambon, Maluku, Sabtu (1/10/2011) malam.

Deklarasi yang berisi lima poin seruan itu merupakan hasil kesepakatan pemuda Indonesia dan sejumlah negara yang menghadiri Forum Pemuda Dunia di Ambon, hari ini.

Kelima poin seruan itu adalah:

1.Mengecam keras segala bentuk kekerasan dan kesewenang-wenangan yang terjadi di seluruh dunia

2.Menyerukan penghapusan segala bentuk diskriminasi yang terkait suku, agama, dan ras

3.Menyerukan untuk saling menghargai, menghormati, dan menyebarkan budaya dalam semua aspek kehidupan dalam mencegah dan menyelesaikan kekerasan dan konflik.

4.Menyerukan kepada pemerintah dan seluruh pemimpin dunia untuk serius dalam mencegah dan menyelesaikan segala bent uk kekerasan dan konflik melalui pendekatan keadilan, pendidikan, dan kesejahteraan dengan tetap memperhatikan kearifan lokal setiap bangsa.

5.Berkomitmen untuk terlibat aktif menjadi pelopor dan pelaku dalam mewujudkan dunia yang penuh dengan damai, harmonis, dan cinta.

Deklarasi perdamaian dunia ini dibacakan oleh Wakil Presiden World Assembly of Youth yang juga Ketua Dewan Pimpinan Pusat Komite Nasional Pemuda Indonesia Ahmad Doli Kurnia.

Ahmad membacakannya di depan gong perdamaian dunia didampingi utusan pemuda dari enam negara yang hadir dalam Forum Pemuda Dunia di Ambon, yaitu Belanda, Rusia, Nigeria, Somalia, Pakistan, dan Timor Leste.

Setelah pembacaan, peserta Forum Pemuda Dunia bersama perwakilan Pemerintah Provinsi Maluku dan Pemerintah Kota Ambon melepas sejumlah burung merpati.

Acara pembacaan deklarasi dan pelepasan burung merpati yang dilakukan bersamaan dengan penutupan Festiva l Teluk Ambon tersebut, disaksikan oleh ratusan warga Ambon. (*)

Youth Declaration

Youth declaration calling for world peace world peace gong at the monument, in Ambon, Maluku, on Saturday (01/10/2011) night.

Declaration that contains the five points of this appeal is the result of an agreement youth Indonesia and a number of countries attending the World Youth Forum in Ambon, today.

The five points of this appeal are:

1. Strongly condemns all forms of violence and abuse that occur throughout the world

2. Called for the elimination of all forms of discrimination related ethnic, religious, and racial

3. Called for mutual respect, honor, and spread the culture in all aspects of life in preventing and resolving violent conflict.

4. Calls upon the government and all world leaders to seriously prevent and resolve any bent uk violence and conflict through approaches justice, education, and welfare with due regard to local wisdom of every nation.

5. Committed to actively engage the lead and actors in creating a world filled with peace, harmony, and love.

World peace declaration was read by Vice-President of the World Assembly of Youth Leadership Council who is also Chairman of the Central Committee of Indonesian Youth National Ahmad Doli Kurnia.

Ahmad read it in front of world peace gong accompanied by youth delegates from six countries attending the World Youth Forum in Ambon, the Netherlands, Russia, Nigeria, Somalia, Pakistan and Timor Leste.

After the reading, the participants of World Youth Forum with representatives of the Provincial Government of Maluku and Ambon City Government release a number of pigeons.

The reading of the declaration and release of doves is performed in conjunction with the closing of the Festiva l Ambon Bay, Ambon was witnessed by hundreds of residents. (kompas)
